as i have checked the battery. drop test etc powers other stuff ok as well

for got to add the control panel also says the psu power is below 10.38volts

Cool your ok then , don't need a PSU don't need a battery

Sorted

As said 3 years is enough for battery in my.opinion , perhaps it's damaged your psu

I doubt you have a battery drop tester for this type ?

??? how can it be ok then if it has a fault because of low power ?

Was being sarcastic..... Just forum banter dude , your still ignoring the battery has been running for charging for three years and it's the first thing to swap out , but you say you measure good voltage from PSU but panel reports low voltage

I would say your testing things wrong somehow but it's all hear say as we can't see what you do

Change battery , failing that psu

ok lol

well im a High Voltage vehicle tech so know how to measure current and voltage so thats not a problem.

So do you know what voltage should be coming out the PSU ?

also when you disconnect the battery the alarm sounds which it didnt do before but if you turn power off it shuts down with no battery back up .

The "black act of alarm monkeying"

Diagnosis with out tools-

Unplug & shake the battery , does it rattle like a skeleton having a wank in a biscuit tin ?

look at the current reading displayed  on the keypad is probably gonna be 1000mA + ?

remove one lead form battery is probably gonna be 450mA

it may well be warm & sooty in the endstation

pull the battery fuse on the pcb you'll probably get 100 Battery Fuse failed or similar on the display in day mode (proves the fuse is good)

When you pull the mains & The system just dies

Battery fuse

Battery

Or endstation pcb

Pull a known good battery in & repeat

Diagnosis with a multimeter-

A battery has a float charge of less than 100mA an uncharged battery say 1000mA, measure the current you should be able to watch it fall to float charge,

Transformer kicks out 20vac,

The battery leads will either measure nowt or around 14vdc depending on product with no battery fitted

Proper alarm co.

will have a battery tester & current reading of the system in day & alarm ?

well i have a battery tester and have tested it like i said and its ok

Yeah I've changed a tyre on a xj220 too.

However on the euro have you checked the fuse on the battery. It does look like a board issue though. Bear in mind the euro does sense battery volts and demand and adjusts charging accordingly

So then you know how to fix , as no point using professionals lol

Anyhow what he said above is correct , you call it arrogance but it's forum banter , arrogance is your reply

Follow through the detailed help from Mr H and think about what jw just said

Then go back to your Porsche vehicles , while I work on some Toyota hybrids all the same to me......

So new battery fitted and still the same

Same faults

Also with the power off you can't do a start with just the battery doesn't seem to do anything at all.

So looks like it's the panel

So question the V10 is the layout much the same on the panel ?

Or battery which damaged the panel or something else that did it

IIRC needs mains to start,

Power it down

Remove the modem connection,

Rainbow ribbon if fitted

bell +

Speaker+

Zem +

Aux + on both tiers of the pcb terminals

Check all the pcb fuses with DVM on buzz (replace any blown one with correct value)

Restart with just the RKP on it, if won't change onto the battery its deffo shagged

Thought you had to be a registered installer?

Anyone register with some companies just blag it

Even with hikvision you can get away with it and blag it

But you couldn't get hkc software without being registered the software itself keeps tabs on you , and they know when you download it and login

Ok didn't realise it was that easy.

You think the software always linked to a email address? Just wondering how companies stop rouge engineers logging in after they have left the company.

Don't know , but now are you not talking about logging into panel?

As for software you can create more users and delete when they leave

Not sure how others work but seems to work for hkc
