It would be security risk if you could, just break in and press the A key

the keypad is in my bedroom to break in and unset the system the intruder would have to enter the house through my bedroom window to unset with the A key with me in bed. The system is part set, there would be  a activation from any other part of the house.

Just because the keypad is in a "secure" area (is actually less secure due to no active sensors IMO) that doesn't make it ok to have an off button without verifying the user.

Sound like you would be better with prox tags or something, it's certainly wouldn't conform to any standards or be designed to do that by the manufacturer.

You can't make it unset without a code anyway. You can program it to full set without the code

You could with a keyswitch zone

But not using the keypad key , unless you dip it in freezer for few hours

Code + and - options are just for setting. Yes you could keyswitch disarm with a magnet or button but it's poorly advised regardless of keypad position. Be like the switch on sensors that disable them. Get proper gear installed well managed by those that know what they are doing. I get some may think they are paying extra for something they can do themselves. Yes you can. Like you can extend your house, modify you car etc, thinking your fully insured and its the insurance company problem. The insurers want to sue someone when an intruder alarm doesn't perform to counter the claim.
