I see you were in Weston then!

I had a Paragon Plus 'display model' (a factory one that was on a board, not something ADI had knocked up) from round the back of ADIs once, they actually went to the trouble of cutting out bits of plastic to glue a false keypad in etc...

I snapped a nice bell outside a jewellers on holiday, well, not outside actually sheltered by the shop so it's a 1960s bell in near mint condition. Can't find the pic

might have been on OHs phone...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

IIRC the square one with the square lens (aritech?) is Ellard, who now exclusively installs those French things that don't use mains power at all

Bet there must be some right old tat on the Gorge buildings which date from the late 60s - early 70s and given the paucity of housing around there and the remote location probably would have been alarmed from the outset.

Protec are very, very odd. Did you go in the Protec kitchenware shop? Lots of staff just standing around in an 'are you being served' way. They also sell resistors etc... from behind the counter. Locals shops for local people ;)

Even Scanny boards used to have perspex covers so you could see the PCB!

"Observation Camera" sounds even more like some Orwellian nightmare than plain old CCTV

Still, at least you probably weren't being recorded. I remember one of the shops in Bath had a small basement section

without a till, massive 21" B+W monitor on the till upstairs jumpy switching between two crap cameras!

I also remember those huge rotating dalek type things with lenses in the Owen+Owen dept store, Volumatic?

Job in potters bar , cables thrown over flat roofs etc l, I told them that's what you get for £800 on a four cam system lash it in, put one on an IP box other on a base job done in30mins it didn't look pretty but I want to sound like H

I would have charged him double or treble ,  used external grade cable as he used internal grey cat5 , based on all cams

This is the way these days , I wonder if Paul would pay
