Gardtec CP8L - Limited signs of life

I moved into my present home 4 years ago and it came with (what I believe is) a Eurosec CP8 system installed. I wasn’t left any code or operating instructions and asked a local company to recommission it.  They couldn’t get it working and left it with a disabled control panel (blank LCD display), although the bell box and PIR detector LEDS are functional.  I am not particularly confident in the technician I had used (who apparently was the last one to service it) and I would like to get a second opinion.  Is anyone in the Milton Keynes area up for the challenge?

Was the keypad lit before the "technician" looked at it ?. As al said above, the cheapest option would be to just replace the panel and keypad.  Something like an ADE Accenta G4 should fit the bill nicely & would be a good DIY swap out, saves paying multiple techs a callout fee.

I am sure it's something that could be resolved by a competent engineer that knows Eurosec. I don't particularly rate Eurosec stuff myself.

I wouldn't be surprised if you are recommended a more modern panel by most engineers who come and have a look.

Agreed SWB: Even a competent DIY'er with a Multimeter should be able to find why there's no power to the keypad. As someone has been in the panel & we all know that the CPL doesn't have much room inside especially when fully loaded, it may be a simple case of a wire pulled out. Can't remember if they have a separate fuse for the RKP but doubt it, the manual is freely available so shouldn't be too much problem for a DIY fix.
