Not exactly rare and unobtainable, but a nice proper period siren for an H box or similar

Challenger lives on as a UK based chink-tat import brand, however, they seem to have a cloud based intruder system and a non-cloud Accenta clone with LCD keypads...

Iirc c&k were independent based in Redditch before ademco bought them, then honeywell bought ademco

I recall C&K as a sensor manufacturer -

Honeywell-Intellisense-Dt-450T-Dual-Tech

case is from the late 80's, I assume with a US origin ?

I think securitech made alarms & was enquired by C&K at one some point ?

I recall a plastic active 5  & the 700l when it was new to the market, I've seen pictures of much older controls....

OK that makes sense. I'm not sure when the Intellisense name comes into it, I've used a couple of Intellisense glassbreaks recently that are originally of C+K origin I guess.

From this very forum... @FASTCAR said..

SL stands for security lighting according to the manual , its a basic ADE Optima XM type panel with non programmable zones.

I'm not quite sure of the context of 'Security Lighting' unless it was a rebrand or rebadge? Even sparkier sparky special?

I do remember the Accenta RKP was at one point repurposed as the control for some naffo DIY / home CCTV product from ADE / Chloride / Honeywell whatever name they were using on the day.

It does appear a company trading as C&K systems inc, founded 30 years ago, is still trading in the ePOS market.

Im guessing this resideo thing doesnt include 'professional' security like Gal etc...?

First DTs I installed were huge things, kicking myself as I forget the make.

Meanwhile 20 years ago... https://web.archive.org/web/19990219114014/http://www.ade.co.uk/Karizma.html#kudl

Amazing how mych has been saved by wayback, images and pdfs too after around 2002

The cam system was Opti-cam

Here's the reused accenta rkp - https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/TSOPTKP.html

Don't worry about it, Happy is just sad his best anorak got ruined at radio club.

Scraping the barrel now...

Brown PSU (early Modern alarms coporate colours?) at a stupid price - Mr H's fave colour ;)

Obscure Philips observation systems accessory (not alarms but hey, I remember this tat from our local Gateway!)

Old but not old enough to be that interesting Gardtec

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gardtec-Risco-Group-Alarm-Panel/113763132477?hash=item1a7ccfa43d:g:MRUAAOSwYbpc6~Tg

I've found @al-yeti's web shop and I claim my five pounds :)

Proper old school PA

Oh yeah I know Mr H (and indeed the whole UK) is desperado to find out, it was Napco we first installed, but a bit newer than these... The boss used to buy everything from Gardtec wholesaler

and apart from the cable, the batteries, and the DSC range I think Napco were about the only outside brands they sold? The M+S of alarm wholesalers :)
