Looking for an all in one laser unit:

Colour

Networked

Duplex

Reasonable cost pp

Decent size paper trays

A3 good but not a deal breaker

Reasonable size although space isn't an issue

Suggestions & ones to avoid appreciated

Thanks

Is this for personal use? I have a Dell multi function laser printer at home, that I am very happy with. The toner is very cheap on Ebay and Amazon (copy not original) I purchase another for the office and that one even has WPS we no longer have a photo copier, we scan anything that needs to be copied, but most jobsheets are electronic.

My one is like this only it is smaller and cheaper but not by that much

Brother HL-3170CDW would be the newer duplex version of my colour laser which has been solid over the years.

Friend of mine has a MFC-9340CDW and has been pretty happy with it, not sure how much he's used the duplexer mind.

I normally avoid anything Lexmark myself, from past experience. I was also going to ask if SOHO use?

No, but light office.

I have the Dell 1660 (my second one) and it's been faultless, gets little use now the kids are both at uni.

I need copy and ideally email function, we currently scan to a communal user box

I too avoid Lexmark, not sure why and perhaps I'm being unfair but I associate them with rip off inks and cheap printers from the past.

Will have a look thanks

Iirc dell printers are rebranded Lexmark

I have cheapo mono dell printer & a Lexmark multifunction cira £160inc vat

However genuine toner is dearer than others.

Scanning stuff is quicker & easier with a brother ADS rather than using MFP

It been run on generic toner from amazon, the printer is a rebranded Brother.

£100+vat appear about the right sort of money,  I'll never print enough to  wear the drum out

I assume the Dell was around this price point,

I was buying toner for it in 2017 but have no idea where the machine came from or how much I paid

You can pick A4 Mono Brothers up for less but the p/p is more if you use genuine ink.

On genuine ink the Lexmark mono lasers with 10k mono cartridges offer low cost per page,

But I'd wince at big toners coming in at 1.5 of the machine
