scrimshanker
Would you get a confirmed signal from a combined shone and DC and if so would it conform?

scrimshanker
You can buy a shock sensor which includes a door contact  So if someone kicks in the back door (pun intended) and then opens it is that unconfirmed and confirmed or just a unconfirmed as its a single device 1

norman
Using a shock sensor on a monitored system is foolhardy imo, especially on a door. Quote Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.

al-yeti
Ok I put them on loads of doors rear only , never had an issue , (hkc) always found Honeywell versions more of a mission to setup  Although loud enough fireworks seems to make window versions gross attack lol
norman
Don't get me wrong, I mean on monitored systems, in most cases the door and PIR should confirm anyway without the risk of any external influence that could be introduced by a shock. sixwheeledbeast
I see no issue with having perimeter shocks in a separate group only generating an unconfirmed. Some of the multi contact shock devices use the same zone so wouldn't be able to confirm. I would think it's more the case of knowing if the door is closed on setting and if the door is opened without vibration.
