Texecom elite flasher woes

Hi

I'm hoping someone my have seen this before and could share some knowledge.

I have an Elite 88, I would like to upgrade the firmware. Whenever the flasher cable is plugged into the programming port, both the heartbeat and Txt/Rxt leds do not illuminate on power up. The cable is plugged up correctly I believe, the red ident matching the arrow bottom left of the 10 pin header. Ribbon cable not faulty as no problems when connected without flasher pcb attached.

This is where you say it's normal don't worry and get flashing! I've tried flashing and the software responds board failed to respond correctly.

With the flasher cable removed, on power up heartbeat and tx/rx respond as expected.

Any ideas?

Have you tried ringing texecom technical?

(not being funny) but would recommend as they are very helpful (when you eventually get through)

Are they that busy with DIY?

Hkc I guess smaller odd time they have been busy you get put on a call back list. And they always call

So there maybe an issue with the flasher, Com lead or PC drivers.

Also you need to start with the switch on Run before you plug everything together.
