Cheers, why such a big admin to eng ratio?

Bit misleading, 2 engs also needed office seats, couple of engs in pairs so just had one license per pair to start with.

The business covers a few sectors, some admin staff are function based, not sector based.  Efficient in many ways - but not for implementing protean!

Looking at the figures I gave it does seem admin heavy I admit!  However don't forget we we going from almost 100% paper-based to totally paperless - so actually admin load dropped hugely.

Long long overdue and very scary, but well worth it.

I've heard about something called Click too

Clik was written for Daikin (air con installers) and as a result of the authors going solo, it has been taken up by plumbers and now some sparks since they got the licence from NICEIC to do the official version of the certs (they also do Gas Safe).

It could also be used by any 'service' type business i.e fac maint etc... and integrates with Sage nicely.

BUT it is of little to no use for alarms as it offers precisely zero specialist features in this direction. My mate works for them and says a few years back they considered it but them thought the maket too small and the competition too large already on that basis.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
