9751 Panel Queries

RTNI

Recommended Posts

I have recently installed a scantronic 9751 with hardwired expander (13 zones in total) and all is going well with the exception of reporting a mains failure.

This is a bells only setup, no monitoring and it takes about 15 mins from when the mains power goes off to the keypad reporting the alert lamp being lit.  On a previous 9651 system this was reported immediately.  In the programming manual I can't see anything about setting a delay up - can anyone help me out with this?

Additionally, several times I have come home and the alarm has gone off during the day (I know why it went off - it was a mistake on my part).  When entering, the old 9651 system used to sound the internal speaker and external bex box as soon as PiR was tripped, but on the 9751 this is not the case.  Even the manual says "if the alarm sounds when you enter the premises then an intruder may be present."  The alert lamp is lit to indicate the alarm went off but how do I restore the immediate alarm on entry to signify an alarm condition when returning to the premises?

Many thanks.

I believe the mains fail is set at 15mins when set to UK as the region, and can't be altered. (You could change to a region where an hour is allowed, but keep English as the panel language...)

I can't be sure, but don't think the alarm-on-entry is allowed under the ENs, although wasn't that feature always a bit of scantronic thing? I'm assuming your old 9651 was a UK (BS) panel and the 9751 a much newer EN? The strobe should continue, though?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
