look am only asking a few daft questions,

alarms are in general piss easy, for a general systems you have 8 zones, each zone is a detector or door contact(reed switch).

Most systems are normally closed meaning if a high resistance is detected an alarm activation occurs.

Unlike door sensors detectors are also powered by 12V, and you wire the tamper through all detecotrs in a daisy chain method.

Batteries are in most cases as little as 1.2Ah 12v and as high as 7Ah for larger panels

You can also get more advanced detecors like volumetric detecors that work on volume aswell as just heat and sideways movement.

You can get filters with detecors to stop false alarms from white light sources

Sounders can be wired using a single 6 core cable or 2 x 4 core cables, connection include strobe, bell +, bell -, Tr-, V+

You can include a dialler system by hard wiring to two pins on the bt line, and the negative bell trigger on the external sounder to get it toi call out!
