Problems With Optima Compact 4 Internal Sound

Recommended Posts

Never connect anything in parallel on the speaker terminals. Impedance is important so the driver doesn't get damaged.

A sound bomb is a sounder and would have to be connected to the bell terminals.

nightmare i just assumed it was all dc, looks like ive learnt the hard way then :(.  Luckily for me ive got a spare panel and its the same one, about the speaker in the panel it doesnt seem very loud ive looked in the manual and it says to adjust the variable resistor marked as rev1, anyone know which direction to turn this to increase the volume?

yes you can but you have a sounder not a speaker. a speaker is ac, a sounder is dc. you cant connect a sounder to the speaker terminals

Of course you can the wires fit perfectly in the little holes!

OP, surely just turn the speaker volume control until it either goes up or down?

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands
