Paul P
I think you'll find your replies somewhat contradictory and still making assumptions. Partition/studded wall? Back box tight or loose? Irrelevant due to fixings Rawlplugs? you say it is irrelevant due to wall not being conductive - yet you said earlier, "...if the socket was screwed to the wall the metal box would of been earthed." I think we have a terminology problem between us, I can't be asked and give up. You win. Quote Trade Member

matthew.brough
I never wanted to do it in the first place. The lack of big wires I've touched since is a testimony to how much I love big wires. Quote www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/

Vince8282
He he ignorance is bliss until it kills you Matt you shoulda borrowed Arfur's terminal driver the one with the neon in it. And as Gazza says if you had turned off the supply first you could have opened it up safely and checked for any bare/not correct wiring. etc. I would rather stuff a server up than myself vtp Quote Practice in the morning, practice at night. Practice in the evening, until you get it right. Only make sure you are practising in the right way at the right time for it.
