Think ive had one once.

It has been mentioned on one of the forums in the past, must be a very rare event though.

I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.

It's brand new. I got called to check the system after they tried to replace the battery themselves and the smelt burning! Result 1 blown panel.

Bought from Screwfix.

Or the panel developed a fault, drained the battery and reverse charged.

Why asking about a rattle.

But I`d go with being started in the factory reversed.

It would work, but the plates are not designed to work that way and it would go bang eventually.

I had a powersonic like that before, previous company connected it the wrong way round and the elmdene supply didn't pop, it just charged it up in reverse. Put it on my act gold plus and it measured 13.68v and 4.8ah just backwards at 3 years old.

Good thing it wasn't a 24v elmdene, they can go on fire if the batteries short, there is no battery fuse.

As a kid working in garages, when Jap bikes came in they had to be assembled and the batts had to be filled and charged. i got to see the results of reversing the polarity to about a dozen bike batteries, blew the lead connection poles, bits of casing and sulphuric acid all over the workshop.

Thankfully it was the habit these batteries were only charged last thing over night due to the charger being used on car batts during the day.

If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
