Zen Engineering
Evening folks! Just looking for a bit of advice with wiring a Pyronix bell box into a Galaxy G3. We've just changed over to Pyronix and its the first Ive had to fit on a G3 system so wondering how to go about the twm? Could do it through a relay and 4k7 but wondered if anyone had a better way? Lwillis
IIRC there's 2 versions of the sounder a g2 and g3. Not sure if there's a difference, we are looking at them but I don't have one in the van to check the installation guide.
Zen Engineering
Yeah think your right on that one. We are just changing over to them so don't want to get caught out on site midweek!
Lwillis
In the past I've linked it via the lid switch .
miaren
Best bet is to call Pyronix, as they've worked out the connections for a range of panels and created the wiring diagrams. Good Luck
Zen Engineering
Ill speak to our Rep and see if he's got anything available. Does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram they could send me?
Lwillis
Not to hand mate but your rep should be able to help. Have you tried calling tech support ? They've got a download on their website but it needs a login
9651
Weve got some of these back lit things gaffer wants to try. Looking at it, does the pcb have to come out before you fit the back plate?. Just having a quick nose looks like it does to get them round fixings in?
Oxo
Try this, for Deltabell. If you need the others just ask. Deltabell G3.pdf

9651
We used to fit a few bits and bobs around 10 years ago, (detectors and bells) hell, we might still have the badge too ;-)
Oxo
Still like the Oddys and Rapiers. But liking ours now too. The spirit level and twisty bottom fixings are good. Not too sure about the strobe, a tad dull TBH.

9651
Yeah thats the fixing I was thinking about! Bells we fitted since I started in 96, Sonade, the odd flashgard, loads of Gardtec Delta boxes in their differing forms (including blow up batteries) Belle ****, then settled on the Oddy for years, I like it, but suppose you see too many blank versions.............. So now looking at something a bit more modern looking (cheaper too by all accounts)
whistle
We are back on the Nova 4s after trying 40 delta bells. Out of the 40 we had 2 with problems so binned them. Although the delta bells draw about 1/2 the current of a nova 4 in alarm.

Just having a quick nose looks like it does to get them round fixings in? Nope, the round fixing plugs just match up with the letter displayed next to it. A or B. The bottom right one it a bit tight but go at it with a deep angle and it will go it. Depending on the surface your fitting on the back tamper screw is also a bit awkward. You're better using a PZ1 driver to fix it back or you'll just round the head.
