Apparently car tax and the other taxes assoiated with driving doesn't generate enough money to pay for the roads anyway so it's all in a big pot with most of the other taxes generated. So if the cars don't make enough money to fix the roads, why should the cyclists get to use it Aswell without paying something towards it. Had a cyclist the other day on a single country road , riding in the middle and wouldn't stop to let me past. Even at the passing places. I wonder as there are cycle lanes dedicated to bikes is there scope on the most dangerous sections for parts to be motor vehicles only. also re road tax not being enough.
