dwdave
I have two ADT Boxes with sounders / leds etc that I intend to fit to my house. Couldnt be 100% sure if its the 7422-en or 7422 as Im not currently with them. What backup battery would be suitable in both size and capacity to fit inside the unit. Im even assuming it has one that is. Ive installed a Galaxy in my old house but used different sounders outside. Thanks, 'till the next question ... Oxo
What is in them at the moment?
dwdave
Nothing. I have three parts to it - the sounding unit, the led board and the cover. Unless the battery goes inside the metal sounder - in which case I havent looked. 'till the next question ...
antinode
You will find that the battery is soldered to the PCB inside the metal housing, or at least it is on the ones I've seen. Trade Member
dwdave
Ah ok - I was looking for a removable one like my old SAB had inside it. On the PCB terminals there is a screwdown for BAT+ve and BAT-ve though? I havent looked at them in a while though. 'till the next question ... Oxo
A photo will help. Also power the sounder up and with a DVM measure the charge rate at those terminals then we can asssit further.

dwdave
So here I am 18 months later with the photo - Im sure some of the members of this thread may even have passed away its taken me so long! If anyone can hlp me as to whether or not this has a backup battery or if it needs one added to the batt - terminal Id appreciate that THanks 'till the next question ... sjsturner
Ive not seen one of these before buddy but to me looks like the backup is internal and your black batt lead coming out top left needs to be plugged into 'batt -' on the terminals to complete the backup circuit. ( its obscured a bit in the pic, im assuming it says batt under the black wire) Whether the backup batt inside is any good would be my next check.
