I have a mental block with Urmet, cheap and nasty springs to mind from experience.

It looks like they have copied Comelit. From some of the installs I have seen.

Each to their own I suppose.

gotta disagree there

The thought that has gone into the whole of the kit range impresses me no end. Urmet panels are solid, everything has its place, and nothing is an afterthought. Addressing is not handled in the flat, so end user cannot destroy an engineers will to live... By contrast comelit..... Erm, even the connector position in the panel is an afterthought isnt it? I mean, connector at right angles and wedged into a plastic channel? Not quality imo. That is the contrast between urmet and comelit as i see it. Urmet is made to last. Think of the push to talk button on comelit switchboards....

Anyways you're right, we is gonna disagree on this one forever ;)

Well designed??

Model we were sent needed permission from the highways department to mount on perimeter wall.

Customer's face was a picture when he saw it. - in the box before we sent it back.

The handsets??? He refused to have them in his house.

He loves the comelit kit. And if the customer is happy, then job done.

Well said Cubit,

Bottom line is customers always go for Comelit in the end.

Every job gets accepted when they see the kit.

A dream to retro fit, let alone as spec`ed.

And I know the details of your job as we had a chat about it. Cannot get much more high end than that.

Looks like a multi entrance to me. No mess there, all clear as day.

They can also take 12000 users/units.

You can bang on all night, I know what fails more often.

I have never had to go back to a Comelit installation, even when using the existing cables and finding a clean pair to use. Video or audio only.
