Folding Ladders To Go Inside Van

Im looking at taking everything of the roof on the vans.

The problem is the ladders. I want something at least 6.5m long that will fold down as small as possible. Might even get something like this in my boot.

Anyone use anything similar?

We use little giants, the smaller ones, still have 3m triples on the roof though. Keeps the steps clean though as they go inside instead of on the roof.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

I use similar steps. Same reasons as already mentioned. Keep inside the van to keep them clean, can be opened into ladders or a platform. Find the only people who don't like them can't work out how to use them.

What do you think of them?

Brilliant, but heavy.

Only drawback, as they are equal length on both sides you end up a bit far from the wall when used as steps, but if you fit the extensions (i usually leave mine off to make lighter) you can extend 1 side one more rung and it takes you in closer

I would advise getting the wheels, then they can be pulled along

  • 4 months later...

i have this ones http://www.ladders-o...Classic-Version 5 rung classic version. They r great, but if u really need to extend them all the way up then they r a bit bounci and they bend, so if u look at them from the side it looks like they about to snap.25KG to carry around, not the lightest. I hardly need ladders this days but still good to have them in a car. Most building sites require podium steps now or if in real hurry then they might let u use your stepladders :) Had this ones over 3 years now. Will buy little giant pro next time, if i ever need to buy new ones.
