DamienGiles
Hello I'm planning to get an alarm system installed.. one question that someone might be able to help with is: In one of our rooms, we have some server equipment that goes from cold to hot (very hot) in a short period of time. Also in the room is the loft hatch - we have the vent from the server rack going through a whole in the loft hatch to help with the heat. Although the equipment doesn't move - will a PIR in this room be a problem? Will a "Pet friendly" PIR help if this is a problem? - as our other option is to suggest a door contact switch on the roof hatch which isn't ideal. Thanks, Alex
topalarms
Dual-technology sensor would be better than a 'pet-friendly' or any pir's.

I agree a decent dualtec or texecom do an extreme temperature pir, I fit one in a kebab shop (yay free kebabs) that covers the ovens and never had a problem
