Hello, does anybody know:

How many cameras should be

supervised per 1 monitor?

Is there some standarts or main

practice? (your experience).

For monitors 17'', 19'' and 21''?

I talk about large CCTV systems

(>32 cameras and several monitors)

I would keep it to a simple quad per monitor.

Or if your sequencing the cameras i would have it at about 6-10 cameras per monitor-sequence

There probably isn't a very simple answer to your question, as the issue of monitoring techniques would relate to the way in which the cameras are being applied.

For example, if cameras are set up to watch rarely used 'Fire Escape' doors, you could probably put 16 images on one screen and it wouldn't compromise the effectiveness of the system.

If as an alternative, each camera was looking at an area within a train station, with lots of people present, then you couldn't really consider using a split screen approach, as you wouldn't easily be able to see what individuals were doing at any one time.

You need to look carefully at the purpose of each camera, and then decide how to break the system down into easily manageable chunks.

I would suggest use quad for 1st and 16 cameras for other monitors.
