esp-protocol
I'm looking for "BMS" system other than Trend and any equally over priced kit. Very simply it is to monitor equipment in a computer room, eg AC units, UPS, PDUs various run/fault/trip outputs etc etc. A lot of the outputs are volt free contacts, and not a real problem however, we will also be required to take other info such as current/voltage/load etc from the PDUs and various kit., most likely using a mix of CTs. and possibly trying to "talk" directly to the kit using protocol translators. We have a system that does most of it but is causing me problems. Does anyone know what I'm talking about, and suggest any control specialist who might be able to help?? Thanks Dave
Guest Sparkey
look at satchwell or siemens. Having worked on various systems I found that trend was the most user friendly.
esp-protocol
Strange, I'd always been informed that "Trend" and "user friendly" didn't go in the same sentence. I thought Trend (and most likely siemens) were pretty much closed shops. Thanks for the suggestion but I found a firm called North Building Technologies which looks good.
