  1. Hi there all, my name is Red, for the purposes of this forum, not being clever, its my initials! I have been around the game for 32 years, makes me sound old... Started out as a YTS apprenticeship when it actually meant something, always was into electronics as a child, once used an automatic solenoid car window opener and made an electronic lock for my bedroom in 1984... C+G 236 pt 1.2.3, C+G 224 pt 1.2, C+G 185 pt 1.2.3. and many more. Came via Lander Alarms owned by the then RMC group, Modern alarms, Modern Security Systems, ADT, Secom, then pretty much 20 years on my own. High end is my game and has been so for many years, been blessed with clients and customers of an exceptionally high calibre, where money is never an object. Which has meant I have been able to design and implement some wild and wacky systems. Currently working the finance and money sector fortune 100 companies, commissioning, servicing and maintaining, Prowatch, Lenel, Casi, Avigilon to name but a few, and many more. Fully qualified in all aspects including but not limited to Prowatch cert, Lenel cert, Milestone cert, etc but can work on ANYTHING!!!!! I LOVE ELECTRONIC SURVEILLANCE AND SECURITY AND AUTOMATION. Peace.... RED
  2. Hi All, Having been out of the industry for a few years I've come back into it and hit an issue with the texecom 24 setup. I have 7 Zones all wired as NC and without any EOL wiring. (I'm going to expand the system at a later date depending on my cusatomers requirements) I've got the system up and running but the programming is a nightmare!!! I'm using the Wintex software but every time I try to do a walk test the system won't allow me to set this off using the RKP. I've also got issues with arming the system I'm arming and the chime sounds for exit all ok, when I open the Entry there is no chime or disarm tone. I know it's something that I'm doing and have probably missed in the programming but I can't for the life of me see what. I've also checked all of the PIR's and the door contacts are connected correctly. (I changed the to NO in the programming menu and they triggered alarms on the system) can anybody help me with this?
  3. hello there im an engineer from peterborough and have been called to an issue wit ha karisma id system. the display is an 8 bit display instead of the lcd one. i need the alarm to give a confirmed set tone at the end of the exit tone. according to the customer it did it once upon a time but stopped working after the alarm was factory reset when he lost his codes and i didnt have access to the engineer code. the system is now all working except for this exit confirmation. from what i can see it must be an output programming option but i cant figure out how to do it. If anyone has any experience with these alarms can i please have some advice thanks
  4. Are these still available from Honeywell? I have tried there customer support but no answer unfortunately.. If anyone can lead me to contact details that would be really handy
