  1. Tbh I would leave 1 bell connected and call a pro in to set the second bell up.
  2. I install the same kit as Arf and installed correctly it does no cause problems. Risco have come a long way in the past couple of years.

  4. No problem with that and I would loved to be proved wrong. If it works out the box and no updates involved then good one texecom!
  5. Untill some fault occurs and a firmware update is required......
  6. Problem that you need to go to site at your cost?
  7. Adrian I respect you for being forward about the problems texecom has and the fixes. I feel Risco are ahead of the competition and have problems but don't have to flash that many older panels that are out there to repair software faults.
  8. Moaning of your product? I don't use texecom but as from previous threads it needs constant software updates that means a site visit? Is this true or not? HKC had a problem that when udl the panel was not set overnight! With your above comment I think texecom have a lot more software problems that require engineer visits to resolve them? I use Risco equipment and it gets a **** rating on here but when you start comparing it to other manufactures? They come out and start!
  9. HKC had issues as per another thread when customer disarmed system it armed after udl. So that means the system was disarmed overnight... Of a break in did occur what would happen? Texecom will bring all their software flash blah blah! Risco has had problems but for the wireless market they are up there with the best. If the system is set up right then there should be 0% callbacks.
  10. Honeywell will not address any issues, texecom say system requires software updates all the time, Risco bring out new equipment that doesn't work as it should do, HKC have had a problem with dialing in and the system was unset overnight......... So let's make one thing clear... Everyone states Risco tat but every manufacturer has their problems. The one thing that annoys me is texecom state a software upgrade which cost time to send engineer out so can you bill texecom for this time on site? I would be pissed at the amount of updates a texecom system requires! I would have to how many Risco systems get installed and are good compared to texecoms that when a fault comes up requires an engineer visit to upgrade software?
  11. One thing with Risco...wait a few months while their new products take time to bed in as they say. Mind you I remember the problems with texecom ricochet and they are still ongoing so it is a bit unfair to say its only Risco! Don't get me wrong texecom address the issue but how many software updates are required? That means an engineer on site at company cost.
  12. But I install Risco matt and the callback rate is no way near 30%. Apart from the odd battery failing I have had no issues. Their wireless beams are an excellent bit of kit imo.
  13. A callback rate of 30% would kill us.
  14. Exactly goncall. Especially the gaffers. Expect some abuse and pm's later lol
  15. If I was you boss and you tried to blackmail me I would tell you to fek off!
  16. Good luck pse. You will pass no probs as you can tell you are a pro outfitt.
  17. I miss old George from ssaib. Was our inspector for years and A1 at all aspects. Just a shame when new inspector came along we were reported by a couple who got us to install a 4 cam system. His wife had worn out the DVR remote buttons in 2 weeks as she was on it all the time as he was at the rigs. They got a wee ned (builders son) through our system and he was convicted. Yet still our inspector made us meet him onsite to go through things with mr and mrs of their nuts. I met him on site and after 5 mins when all had agreed we installed to spec I walked out as our job had been done and what they wanted would cost. There was more none sense and on the next inspection he asked " so has mr and mrs ? Contacted you back?" I said no then he said and his words "I would have ignored them before it reached that stage" It was his feking fault this happened... Now there is no bull I worked for Chubb none sense, we get him in, have a few smiles then get out please. He knows it aswell!
  18. When working on the void property houses in the Bradford riots I saw one of our guys getting his teeth smashed out by a metal tube.... Nice set of teeth he has now! Was in Glasgow before a Scotland game and a guy walked in after a good tanking to the front teeth and used a pint of lager as mouthwash... Jesus.
