what sort of distance are we talking to these two domes?
I have had issues in the past with other equipment when up coax.. distance quite far and signal drops when also sending telemetry signals too...
its up to you at the end of the day. they arent ripping you off, its a fair enough price. you could always get another quote from another co to compare.
its worth paying a pro to ensure its done properly, with a hell of a lot more ease than doing it yourself.
You could always use a tv modulator if you have aerial sockets by the TVs or if they are smart tvs could the network be used to view all cameras from one DVR?
yes this is exactly the problem I was having with a particular site - unable to access from the lan, but okay on the wan
is this always called loopback or different terminology for different brands?
could you explain loopback? it sounds like a few problems ive been having.
and also.. do all you guys supply your own router when networking a dvr? a known, easy to set up router thats already configured before it leaves the office.
I wasnt sure how much windows needed, I couldnt find the answer anywhere. So thats why I posted a thread in here to ask people that know more about it than I do.
I assume I can link the sd memory to the tablet memory so in effect giving the tablet a 96gb memory?
Following on from a recent topic where the tablet took over....
To those of you who are on the toshiba bandwagon, out the box was your hard drive only left with a few gig?
ive installed nothing except windows security updates, but have no hard drive space to install office which is supposed to be preinstalled. I have a 64gb micro sd card coming but wondering its normal?
Can never understand a word honeywell tech are saying... "alright there buddy".... is one lads favourite saying. But found them pretty knowledgable.
risco tech are good, though like all other manufacturers, you soon get to know who is a waste of time.
Would be good to know signal strengths are going to be okay before installation. Can play around with locations rather than the eng wasting time on the day.
I have had one faulty 490 panel, one faulty wireless bell (cant remember the model), a couple of contacts that eat batteries and a pir that didnt go to sleep.
AP, do you have a risco survey kit? I am told they dont do one so I was toying with the idea of making my own.
We have a pretty big estate of 490x and 600/601. 2 agility and 1 lightsys which went in last week.
I like risco and have always said this. We are going to be moving across to lightsys for new installations in domestics.
