Make sure the strobe option is set as Follow Bell.
I had a customer who had intermittent tamper faults sometimes taking days to restore. If the strobe was programmed as Follow Alarm it would activate on any alarm including tamper. Batteries lasted a matter of weeks.
I'd seriously consider replacing the Risco Agility kit with a Pyronix Enforcer. Risco is good but only to engineers who use it day in day out.

The only issue is the mask, used as grade 2 or power cycling once in blue moon will stop false masks which open the alarm relay
Link + to set disables that problem. Lost count of how many calls I’ve had only to find Iwise blinking away.
I think Pyronix TMD’s have mask issues. Strange how the DT false alarms more often than the PIR. I always disable dip switch 6 on a TMD if the system is G2 as I believe it prevents the alarm relay opening on mask.

Pyronix for me. The app is main reason.
Ive inherited a couple of Ajax systems and they seem solid. At some point I’ll set up a demo system to really check them out. Hard to give the impression you actually doing something on an annual maintenance on a Ajax though as no keypad. With an Enforcer you can at least press a few buttons and make some noise. I’m old skool though.
I never install Texecom as I hate their kit, always feels cheap. That said wireless is probably their strongest field. Never used the Texecom app so cannot comment.

Going by the above, it looks like there is no longer any 9V battery interconnected hardwired systems anymore, pity.
So its either wi-fi or hardwired 240V systems or stuff this new law. I will leave it at that thanks,
Best to check with your wife

No and I personally do not like the idea of no keypad on-site. Maybe I'm old fashioned. A routine service visit must be a little strange using a phone.

Yer, G2 but only if it can detect a short like JW says.
So Euro 46 double pole does not comply?

bear in mind any eol panel that doesnt use pos and neg circuits (none do that i know of?) dp wiring wont comply as it wont detect a short circuit
Douple Pole is ok for Grade 2 is it not?

Every two years is fine although I guess it can depend on the environment and signal strength. I've known the detector batteries last +4 years but the external siren batteries never make it past 3 years.

Thanks for the follow up, as few of us would disable the option it's not something we would know without referring to the manual. Though it was * turns out to be #
Most do disable the option imo. Nearly all the systems I have taken over have the option disabled. I find it a real pain when enabled with the usual response ‘we only have a fob no code’

Yes but it's a requirement to have user Auth for eng access so turn off with caution
Is it? If authorization is stated in the spec I thought ok for engineer access?

Pyronix batteries don't last long tho compared to others
Normally change every 2 years without a problem. Known then last 3.5yeats depending on the environment.

There is also "Always Awake". This mode should only be used on devices which are required to signal at all times and is the default setting for the Impaq Contact-W and Impaq Plus-W.
Its all about getting the battery to last a bit longer.
In fairness to Texecom, if you just learn on the device and leave the device settings alone each device automatically gets the correct settings.

What’s auto mode then? You don’t get any of this nonsense with Pyronix.

The mode for a QD-W should be Hybrid not Auto, Wait more than 3 minutes after arming the system before you walk past the PIR, the PIR will be asleep if it has been recently activated.
Why’s that mate? Genuine question as I only work on Pyronix. Texecom always seem to over complicate stuff.

Anyone register with some companies just blag it
Even with hikvision you can get away with it and blag it
But you couldn't get hkc software without being registered the software itself keeps tabs on you , and they know when you download it and login
Ok didn't realise it was that easy.
You think the software always linked to a email address? Just wondering how companies stop rouge engineers logging in after they have left the company.
