for that patch worked a treat.
-
Anyone done any integration between these two can't seem to see anything on Net2 we recently installed.
-
Three of us heading over to see a couple manufacturers and get a catch up with a few guys who do work for us in England and Wales. It is very expensive and would prefer Birmingham.
-
So who's all going to Ifsec? is it a jolley up for everyone or is anyone going specifically to see something interesting?
-
Not a panel we have used before but I think Webway support UDL on these panels.

Have any Milestone users also used Avigilon? would like to know opinions on what performs better. Not used Milstone but looks good kit.

Is Dahua suitable for big IP installations and does anyone have any experience using there 256CH NVR? Seems they are low end of the market in some peoples eyes but they have the scope to do the big installs too....? Never used them for big installs but there low end kit seems good.
If not - what are the leading brands for a decent size IP installation?
I would be very wary of putting 256 cameras on one NVR what is the throughput on one of these. We keep on coming up against people who recommend putting 50+ 3 & 4mp cameras on 64ch NVRS which have 150mb total throughput which just does not work.
For our larger systems we use Avigilon and build our own servers never has any issues.

Any recommendations on some good commercial lone working kit...
This is on the lines of mass role out and perhaps integrated to a central monitoring point?
As in an ARC?

I didn't think humbugs would work on TVI. What are the cameras fixed to?
-
I thought it was G3 not G2

any good I define as does it do what you and the customer want for the price you both want to pay.
does it have issues, well I think so and its on the bits that my customers are asking for where it falls down, and not 100% happy, so I am waiting on what can be done to make it the product for me to use.
Crazy situation when nothing these days works perfectly on all the features they have available, that said it does have a lot of nice features that work well.
Care to share the issues?

the tests by cg cast doubt on that.
Agreed
Got me thinking how secure is there VPNS into ARCS which support there UDL units are
-
I spoke to my CSL rep yesterday who denied there site was hacked and also claimed any units tested were more than six years old and there units are completely secure.
-
Yes, Frank.
That would be our CEO

On 1st May this year, I found it was possible to dump the names, addresses, emails, usernames, and phone numbers of every single user of every single company who had registered on the CSL M2M SIM page. I did not push the investigation any further, but worse may have been visible.

If you would like to know if your company was one of the listed ones, I can check for you.
Can you check if I'm on there Mercury Security Management?

Did they not tell you about Unlucky Room 7?
We did 2 CCTV courses there, TBH the 1st weeks training was good although the portacabin smelled of sewage.
The second weeks training which was the 'advanced' course, they fobbed us off with a course folder that had 'Part 2 - Advanced' on the cover
but the contents were a reprint of part 1, by their own admission, and they stated it 'would follow'. It didn't.
Which probably explains the above-average number of suicides...
Do tell

IP intercom across 4 PC's
in CCTV & Access Control
Posted
HIK intercom should be able to do this having a play with one tomorrow
Comelt will work with ease but will require dongle for each PC it is running so cost may be a problem
