  1. Review here: http://ipvm.com/report/worst-hd-quality-camera
  2. I take it its an HD-SDI or Hybrid DVR? HD-SDI cameras wont work with an Analogue DVR
  3. Its an arecont vision 180 Panoramic IP cam. We used to use them quite a lot. http://www.arecontvision.com/products/SurroundVideo+Series
  4. We've recently had some from: http://www.ampwire.co.uk/shop/category/CCTV-Camera-Guards/19 Bit more expensive than some, but there fantastic quality and they do bespoke designs too.
  5. As Whistle says use an Axis Cam as the interface for the alarm inputs. We do it this way regularly when integrating with Milestone.
  6. As above There's lots of off the shelf 16 port choices available http://geniecctv.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/GTH016-Datasheet.pdf http://www.dynamic-cctv.com/product/dtv-16chbalun/ or build your own up using rack mount chassis's http://muxlab.com/products/category/cctv/rackmount-transceiver-chassis
  7. Another one to look at is Texecom external detectors. http://www.texe.com/uk/uploads/PremierExternal_TD_Leaflet_Web.pdf You could install 2 and use the auxiliary input on one of them to connect them together. This would then give you directional detection. E.g the "master" detector must be activated first followed by the "auxiliary" detector within 1 minute to give a confirmed alarm. There actually pretty good at not detecting small animals on there own. http://www.benchmarkmagazine.com/intruder_tests_detail.php?testsID=119
  8. Cisco certification CCENT - Cisco certified entry networking technician or CCNA (Routing & Switching) Cisco certified networking associate
  9. Taken from rain x website... Can it be used on transparent plastics Generally no. The increasing variety of various coatings applied to plastics makes it impossible to pre-test for compatibility under all conditions, and users should satisfy themselves by treating an area outside the normal area of vision. Please note that constant, repetitive use should be avoided due to the possible formation of stress cracking, especially on clear, curved sections We've witnessed this first hand on a takeover. On-site maintenance had reported hairline cracks on the PTZ dome covers. When questioned turns out they where using rain x several times a year.
  10. I was in a similar position a few years ago. The company made rapid growth. I was working 12+ hour, 7 days a week, had people in accounts, sales/marketing, technical and installation. I found it increasingly difficult to keep on top of everything. Best decision I made was to first employ an operation manager who took over the day to day running then employee a project manager who dealt with technical designs/customer/project needs. I’ve now got to the stage where I can start at 9 and finish at 5....... if I wanted. It gives me more time to talk to customers and open up new opportunities. You never get past being “owed a fortune” and worrying about payments!!!
