    Software Version 4.39

    Functional Change Details

    (with reference to V4.36)

    February 2004

    Changes introduced in V4.39

Galaxy V4.39 has been developed as part of a software standardisation process, designed to

bring all variants of the Galaxy panel software to a single version. This will allow Honeywell

Security (previously Ademco Microtech) to better support and develop the Galaxy software

moving forward. With regard to the UK variants of the Galaxy, there is no change in the

Galaxy product functionality, between V4.36 and V4.39.

    Upgrade Compatibility

V4.39 software can be fitted to any Galaxy panel that meets the criteria indicated in the table below.

    Panel Type - H/W Revision - S/W Revision

    Galaxy 8 - Rev 1.5 and above - V1.18, V1.25, V1.27, V1.30, V2.xx, V4.xx

    Galaxy 60 - Rev 1.72 - V4.xx

    Galaxy 128 - Rev 2.0 and above - V2.xx, V4.xx

    Galaxy 500 - Rev 1.5 and above - V1.18, V1.25, V1.27, V1.30, V2.xx, V4.xx

Please do not attempt any work you are not competent to undertake.

  4. The cable you cut must have been to a powered detector, so you have blown the control panels 1A 20mm fast blow fuse, this is why the panel wont reset and still shows a tamper fault.

Youll need to replace the AUX fuse to get the panel working again, or call an engineer to get the system serviced (He`ll sort out the problem while servicing the system) and advise you of any other causes for concern, such as a dead battery. etc etc.

  5. The old Bently 133 and Symphony are two panels im quite fond of, my old employer had fitted hundreds of these before i started and he swore by them.

Ive only ever replaced one because it was faulty, any others ive replaced have been due to upgrading.

The build quality of these Bentleys was great, its no wonder they seem to last forever.

  6. Seems Novor Electronic Devices have purchased ADE.
