  2. Who really needs encryption these days , military? And then they would have there own coms realistically or just use guns
  3. I assume if enough cores then not enough zones left and don't want to buy an expander ?
  4. Also if its just std surfac door contacts how close / inline are they? Are they decent ones? maybe a picture of how they are fitted. As 6 says as you can now see fault finding is needed as all you know is its one of the 3 rather than identifying 1 contact. However if its stable with 2 and unstable with 3 id suggest its local to the 3rd. I presume as 6 its double pole and you havnt hidden resistors somewhere
  5. Today
  6. Nope, some of H's chums over in six finger land Orion Elastimers apparently.
  7. Is it a 6 core cable? If so just use eol contacts \resistors and put 1 on each circuit. Id only put 2 on 1 circuit if its double doors
  8. I just wouldn't, especially on a modern panel with more options. One zone per device, so you can diagnose any problems. Your sketch seems alright assuming it's DP, time to get the multimeter out take everything apart and work out what's going on.
  9. It’s just a standard door contact
  10. Modern panels work best with 1 eol device per zone However- depends on the model of contacts how they are wired ect...
  11. I have one zone which has 2 contacts on same zone in 2 sheds I have altered one shed so it has two doors on now so I want 3 contacts i did this and it worked for a couple of days then it kept saying the door was open but it’s not so I went back to 2 contacts for now its Orisec panel
  12. Anyone know of it/them Signal Dynamic - News - Signal Dynamic Launches Redcare Replacement

  14. My current Hikvision cameras are quite old, they are 3MP turrets and the IR is pretty rubbish at night so I'm thinking of replacing them at some point. Are the newer Acusense Hikvision turrets any better?
  15. I've managed a temporary fix with a cheap coupler and covered the ducting with a bigger piece, I've ordered a IP67 one which I'm hoping will fit in the bigger bit of ducting then I has going to jubilee clip either side, it's a bit of a cowboy job but hopefully it will work as the camera is now working. If it fails I was going to try using that haydon splitter from the camera working on the left of the second picture
  16. Last week
  17. Thats because Ubiquity makes lots of stuff you just need a txer/rxer that suits your needs. But if you have power at the camera end then yiu could just use a POE as others have suggested
  18. Sorry the dodgy website in your link looked as if it was the type that would use a gmail address, you should have done the same when signing up here LOL
  19. Why not just use an unmanaged PoE switch at that money...
  20. Thanks for your reply, is that all of them or just the Haydon ones as I can see more expensive ones from Vigitron https://netviewcctv.co.uk/vi00103
  21. Could you send me some links as I've Googled it and I get a loads of results
  22. My email is a gmail not a business one, I set it up when I bought my cameras from them so I don't get marketing emails. If the splitters are tat I won't use them
  23. I be £100.00 or offers... However it was probably cira £50 to buy back In the day, so inflation wise a bad investment
  24. Used to service a couple of WMC's around the Doncaster area that still had them, that'll have been in the early 00's Probably be surprised what a nerd would pay for it on fleabay.
  25. Date code on the box seems to be Mid October '93 Don't know much about them.
