Im not too sure about about the model your quoting, i am thinking its the old Sprite Lite type machine or looks like one if you see what i mean.
I have no manuals for a Sprite 1 but suspect it will be the same as a Sprite 2.

Try here for the manual
or here even.

Thats not a DVR Brian thats just a MUX, but im pretty sure it looks like that. It was the first DVR DM produced, i only ever fitted one of them back in 2000/2001.
Like i said im sure the manual for the Sprite 2 is virtually identical and that is available which is why i pointed you at Norbain or DM.

Having said that if you can power it up its an easy menu to stumble through till you find the option to wipe the HDD. Failing that if your trade you can call Norbain and they will talk you through it im sure!

hi ian /brian

yeh been through the menus the ds2 menu differs a bit but i can get through some of the ds1 menus eg date /time filters/copy etc just cannot find a system menu - which is where i guess the hd wipe is and the network set up - i dont see an installers menu at all i guess theres a method of a factory reset or similar.i key ve tried a number of different
key presses but to no avail

if i dont get anywhere i'l give dm a ring, as they are just up the road

it does look similar to the sprite lite multiplexer

If you can access the user menu you can most likely access the installer menu.
Ive found a picture of one, no help im sure but.........Posted Image

Just right now i cant think straight, no doubt tomorrow when im bored sitting in traffic it will come to me........ :realmad:

Longshot.....
The button you use to access the menu .... press it and hold it for a few secs.
