ElecTech Posted January 11, 2017 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Hi, Is it mandatory to issue an NSI cert on a take-over once the system checks out ok & becomes under your company banner (maintenance contract)? PeterJames Posted January 11, 2017 Share Posted January 11, 2017 If it was a takeover of system installed by another NSI co then it should already have one. If the customer requires an NSI cert for their insurance then you should issue one but you can charge for it. If it is not a customer requirement you can just maintain it without certification. PeterJames Posted January 11, 2017 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Unless your changing the grade, and the insurance co requires it then again no need. If we installed a system to 4737 ten/twenty years ago and then upgraded the panel, we would prog the panel to 4737, and not reissue.
