Apollo 65 SD on Galaxy

Would this assembly work? I want my intentions scrutinised by the pro's before I carry out any installation.

Apollo 65 Smoke detector wired to Galaxy G2 complete with resistors, Zone programmed as Fire then equally an output (1001) programmed as Fire with a internal sounder wired into it (I use Pyronix Twin Alert) .

Smoke present.... Panel sees a fire activation so my sounder (in theory) will alert myself/the occupants?

Do you gents recommend any particular type of SD detector? Just using Apollo as an example.

Thank you

you will need a 12v base / clean switch but the theory is sound. just bear in mind you need them well placed as if the cable/panel etc get compromised it cant do its job

Thanks James,

12V relay base though surely?

Not on a mid terrace mate.. Who actually installs a full fire panel system in their own domestic property?

Used to service a gent Vigi system in a domestic in the sticks.

However it was a stately home with outbuildings etc.

Owner built it from scratch and had a full set of drawings for fire intruder and the CCTV.

We've got a Twinflex going into the cottage + annexe, but then again I'm a bit mental...

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Connections on this type of base... + -, say yellow & resistor leg into C, two resistor legs into NC, final resistor leg and blue core joined in choc block?

When we used to fit 12V smokes & heats on Gardtec 816s and the like, we used these resistor packs from Elmdene I think (or was it Dantech?) which avoided

messing about, they worked out about 20p in bulk IIRC. We used to fit quite a lot though.
