thankyou. as posted above i already found this but as it says "if they apply to the company" i am not sure what the register needs and as per my original question i want to know if i can create this register myself as it appears to be a ring binder with pre printed pages.

thanks

i would imagine that any director of a ltd co would know what im on about (if it makes sense lol)

So if it doesn't apply, you no need to worry.

The register is just what it says. Contains the RELEVANT information.

Why pay someone money when you have to provide the information anyway??

Fact:

You need to send annual accounts. If the company is dormant you need to send a declaration stating that, and showing any changes or declare that there are no changes.

You can do it on paper to Companies House for £20 or online for £15.

We know that. OP appears to be unsure quite what another company are telling him re Register. As in the company details/directors/shares etc. They want him to pay them money so they can print out what he tells them.

It sounds like you have registered your company the same way I did on the internet through a company. When I did this I got them to send me a ring binder as opposed to word and pdf documents. Basically the ring binder contains the certificate of incorporation, share allocation and certificates, memorandum and articles of association. As I understand it the only people that will need to see this is your accountant and the government during any inspection.

As I see it there is no reason you can't create these by printing out your word and pdf documents providing you have been provided with them when you registered the company. If you haven't got all of these you will have to back to them and depending our helpful they are, you may be o.k. or they may make you pay out for the ring binder.

I hope this helps.

thankyou very much.
you presume correct, the company is registered as you say and i do have the certificate of incorporation, shares certificate and a standard copy of memorandum and articles of association.

if thats what you have then that pleases me to do the same, im going to print these out myself and create my own register. (what more do they want from a dormant and never traded company).

once again, thankyou to everyone.

as a side note: i still havent had one reply on a forum that is specialist to these subjects, but seem to have found my answers here.
