Hi Guys,

Just quick Q.How much public liability cover is required by most companys? 1,5,10 million?

Mine is for 1mill & never been questioned in 8 years.
depends who your doing work for really.
at the end of the day if they ask for more you either get it or don't get the work

Mine came with 5 Million as standard as recommended by my insurer.

I agree with Chorlton as some of my customers want 5M minimum and some dont.

I'd love to know how this insurance game works.....

We only do fire but I think we've got £5M as standard... recently took on a shopping centre who insisted on £20M ....

The Co-Op used to do a cheap 1 Million policy, but most want 5 Mill now, some want £ 10,000,000. Not always easy to find though. We also get asked for a copy of employers liability cover quite often these days.

We got £5M blanket cover with our combined ins. Those jobs that require higher cover we get price for extra & add to job.

the co-op don't do efficacy which should be a legal requirment in the fire/security industry IMHO
the co-op can't even do car insuarnce for you if you drive other than a std euro box
their shops have the slowest check out staff on the planet & the funeral services are nearly dead a buried :whistle:
