Today we have had some technical problems with the server/host of Tsi.

We initially lost all site info from 25/5/08 onwards but this was later recoverd upto a backup done by James on 8/6/08 and later updated again to a back up done by Dave on 10/6/08. If it was left to me we'd probably be back in a cave somewhere, so thanks to them for their good housekeeping, lol.

We seem to be back up and running at full speed with only the new members & posts from the last 24hrs lost.

Sorry to everyone who either joined the forum or posted in the last 24hrs.
Please re-join and/or re-post and better luck this time we hope!

Regards,

Chris.

Eventually the error changed to something like "No Input File"

That maybe be it all depends on the size of the DB really.
I'd just have a "offline" db running and have it sync every 15 minutes, they sync shouldn't affect anything really and then "backup" the "offline" since it's near live (max 15 minutes out of sync), that way no-one should get any "Access Violation" messages unless something is screwy with the PHP.

The hosting company is moving servers from london to manchester thats why the problems are arising. I use the same company to host my websites.

Lst night I couldn't get onto tsi for an hour or more. No messages, just a page not loading screen. All other sites were fine.

The servers were on a lorry last night, being transported to the new data center.

Im suprised the host did not contact all its customers to pre-warn them of the move.
