Hi Colin

As far as I am aware //.Large National Installer.// are the only company that are authorised to use the Minerva software. So I don`t think you will get it.

There are copies of it around but you'll need a laptop thats running windows 95 with an internal floppy drive (better get yourself out to the skip quick!!!).

there are versions about but you need to know which version is used on the site as they are not backwardly compatible (have a look at the chip on the loop card it will have the version number on it)

The lead is easy enough to make but if you have no previous experience in using consys it may be worth avoiding it as there is specific ways to do uploads/downloads when you need to fit pins etc, the last thing you want to do is render the system in-operable because you will lose the client and then get a big bill of //.Large National Installer.// to correct the panel.

if its just 1 or two devices to be programmed you may be wiser getting //.Large National Installer.// in and just add your margin onto there cost!

Fast access 0039 gives you the system issue numbers (CONSYS version) for the chips.

You can do an upload from the panel without putting the links in on the loop cards and main board but as mcelec says you need to be 100% before you put the links in when downloading in again because once it's gone it's gone (very advisable to make sure that you have a back up of the original before you do it).

Also remember to put the engineers code back into the config before you download straight back in as it wont be there (program doesn't suck it out for obvious reasons!).

There are a few versions of the software knocking about however as stated previously you will need a system that can run DOS and also have a internal floppy drive, and the other issue is if it is version 13. as this is dongle protected and so you are unlikely to get your hands on a dongle.

The other problem is even if you got the software it is not straight forward and you really do need to know what your doing
