  1. This isn’t a picture of mine, this is just one that came up on google when I put “ADE Optima Conpact” in. Ours is in the loft, and looks decidedly less fresh than this. No no it doesn’t work, seems to be missing sensors from when doors and windows were replaced a few years ago. Probably easy enough to rectify, but I have an Agility 3 alarm which I am currently using, so just want rid of this ADE one.
  2. Just moved into a ‘new’ house, built 18yrs ago. It has an old ADE Optima Compact intruded alarm (of unknown generation). I want to remove it and fit something more modern. Obviously when i disconnect the mains supply, the alarm soundest go off. So I took the cover off the main pane and disconnected the 12v battery. This disables the internal alarm, but the external siren continues. Why? Does it have it own battery? Thanks in advance.
  3. Warranties are over stated. The risco system’s been absolutely fine over the last 4 years IMO. who’s that?
  4. Yes, eBay seems to be as good as it gets. There must be someone on here that can get their hands on one? No?
  5. Hi all, I have a Risco Agility 3 system (I know, I know!) and would like to add a 2nd keypad near the back door. Either the LCD one or the slim one. Am happy to install it and configure it myself, so looking for a supply only. Looked online, but not many places sell to the public. Any ideas? Cheers!
  6. ok, so have been digging a bit deeper in the programming menu of the alarm, and consulting the engineer's manual leads me to believe this is the setting I need to change: Communication Software Enable: Yes/No Enables communication between the alarm company and the system using the configuration software. This enables modifying an installation's configuration, obtaining status information and issuing main panel commands from a remote location.
  7. Thanks for your reply. I've paid everything owed, begrudgingly. But they certainly won't be getting any more business from me. We regularly use the Risco app to set/unset the alarm and check on alarm triggers. I want us to have access, but not them. It must be possible?
  8. Hi all, Bit of a strange request... I have a Risco Agility 3 wireless alarm system installed by a local installer a few years ago, and maintained yearly by same company. Due to a few disagreements with the company in question over extra charges and maintenance exclusions, I wish to sever all ties with them. However they currently have remote access for programming etc, which is something I would rather they didn't have afterwards. How do I go about ensuring this please? I have the master engineer code, if that helps. Thanks, Gerry
