About our UK Security Installers List:

Our own Security Installer list was started on 30th March 2005 to be an aid for any site visitors in search of Security Installers specific to their area. Any company listed has been done so in good faith, all companies are understood to have all relevant insurances including efficacy (failure to perform), and are believed to be working to all required standards for the services that they are providing.

The listing is alphabetical only for police areas, actual listings are in the order they were submitted and not in order of any preferance. Some companies are listed several times, (1 listing in each area they cover).

Note: As from 2nd March 2007 only verified Trade members of our community are permitted to list there companies un-aided.

Should you do not wish to join our community to create your listing then please fill in this Listing Application Form (see hint below). Your listing will be added at my earliest convienience. After correctly completing and submitting the form your request for a listing will be verified to you prior to you being re-directed to the community.

Note: Should you decide to contact any Installer in our listing, please be sure to tell them any information about your system that you have such as the make and model number (if known) of your alarm system. Some companies are only familliar with certain makes of system and it would be advisable to call more than one listed company so you can try and ensure only someone who knows your equipment attends to repair it.

The UK Security Inspectorates.

The NSI and SSAIB are Certification Bodies for providers of electronic security systems, fire detection and alarm systems and guarding security services. Clicking on the above emblems will open their respective sites in new windows directly at there Security Installer search pages.

The NSI and SSAIB are in no way affiliated with this site although many of there members regularly participate in our security community, and some are listed above in our UK installer listing.

The list below will apply to all companies belonging to an Inspectorate:

• Companies employees will have been screened to the relevant British Standard.
• Will have been assessed for Competence and experience of management and staff.
• Insurance cover will be relevant to the level and nature of work undertaken.
• Premises are adequate for their activity and that the security of documentation and records is ensured.
• That best-practice and standards are maintained.
• That sufficient staff and resources are employed to provide the services offered.
• Compliance with all relevant standards and codes of practice, British or European.
• Identity cards are carried.
